My 365 Journey is a journal with a twist!

My 365 Journey is a journal unlike any other. A 1-year challenge, that focuses on self-development and creating a positive impact for those around you. 

A journal that does more than just let you write down your feelings, but actively gets you to set goals, enhance your physical and mental wellbeing and provide you spontaneous tasks that help you live your best life, whilst being kind to those around you.  

Every 28 days you set fitness or hobby goals to provide short term goals and each day you will find a new task to get you doing something you wouldn’t ordinarily do. We have curated a selection of tasks and actions to motivate you and help you whilst break the norm.  

Our daily tasks fall into 4 categories, self care, social wellbeing, experiences and little bit of  

financial assessment and savings. You may find yourself going to a new restaurant, making a cake, donating old belongings to others, volunteering or even learning some new skills. Each week is different, and every day is a new adventure!  

Some daily tasks repeat regularly to aid in consistent good habits, whilst others may only appear once or twice, so keep an open mind and do your best to complete every challenge. 

Success is all about consistency, doing the same thing over and over again so it becomes habit and you succeed. Therefore, My 365 Journey is dedicated to goal setters or anyone that wants to become a better version of themselves!

About the author

Gary Joy is a British entrepreneur living in South East Asia, and operates multiple companies in industries such as real estate, legal services, events and media, and digital marketing.

As a hardworking entrepreneur, Gary is well versed in multiple business practices and has self-taught himself multiple skill sets over the last 10 years, which has allowed him to grow and maintain several successful businesses.

In 2022, a personal tragedy happened when his father visiting him sadly passed away due to an unexpected heart attack, leaving Gary depressed, unmotivated and weighing him down with a colossal amount of guilt.

For 2 years he battled depression, whilst trying to keep his businesses going, which pushed his mental fortitude to the limit. After 2 years of mental struggles, a spiritual intervention gave him the peace he was so desperately looking for and he was able to begin to move forward again.

“During those tough 2 years, the guilt I felt inside meant that although I wasn’t self-harming physically, I was burning relationships with people close to me, I was making bad business decisions and I was picking up lots of bad habits. I felt responsible for what happened and internally felt like I needed to be punished.

During that time, I didn’t know how to mentally recover myself, I had gone from hardest worker in the room, to someone that was physically there, but mentally, just a bystander, watching the world go by.

I knew I needed help, but I did what most men do, grinned and bared it.

I wished at that time, there was a task driven book that could help me move forward, help get my fitness goals back and encourage me to expand my relationships, but I couldn’t find what I needed. I said to myself, that one day I would write down all the tasks and make this concept when I was ready to get myself back on track, and in March 2025 I finally found the strength to start.

Originally, I was writing tasks for my own personal growth, but once I started, I began to realise that I was not alone and maybe, this book could help motivate and help others, so I decided to make it professionally.

It’s important to note, I am not a physiologist, a life coach or a therapist, I’m just a motivated person, with a lot of life experiences, who was able to drag themselves out of a dark place by setting goals, creating consistency and by finding opportunities to keep my attention engaged.

This book is not a book specifically about expanding your mind or finding inner peace like most journals, it’s a book to give you purpose every day, to encourage you to rekindle relationships, to encourage you to do nice things for those around you, to take time to reward yourself, to try new experiences, to live a happier life, and to check in on others regularly.

I believe there are many people in the world struggling with their emotions and a random message just checking in on someone and asking how they are could make all the difference. Therefore, there are many prompts throughout the 365 Journey to message or contact people and check in on others. This 1-year challenge is focused not only on your mental and physical health, but also to recognise and support those that surround you.

If you are spreading positivity, hopefully, this can rub off onto others and your environment could change to become a happier, more altruistic place.

For those suffering loss, tragedy or lack of direction as to what you should be doing with your life, things eventually things get better. You are not alone and I welcome you to our 365 Community! Together we can do some wonderful things.

I hope that people love the challenges in the book and it helps people live more fulfilled and happier lives, and they pick up some new skills along the way.

Lastly, I just want to say thank you to those that supported me along when I was at my lowest. I hope that I can repay the favour one day and I hope this book helps others find their purpose and motivation in life.
